Irene Vogel (Burmese Cat Owner)

In December 2014 we moved from the Netherlands to Dubai, but not without both our Burmese cat Tira-misu and Roma.

In the Netherlands they had received their rabies vaccination and RANT (Rabies Antybody test), FVRCPP (Feline Rhinotrichiatis, Calici virus and Pan Leucopenia) vaccination and deworming. It all had to be in the passport for companion animals, together with the microchip registration.

10 days before the flight a Veterinary Health Certificate was made by the vet in the Netherlands, it had to be stamped by the Ministery of Economic Affairs and the Ministery of Foreign Affairs.

When all that paperwork was completed and we had all scans of the documents needed, Lydia Ulevske of ABVC assisted over here.

She applied online for the import permits at the Ministry of Environment and Water in Dubai.

On the 5th of January the cats flew together with our son (as luggage) to Dubai.

At the airport  Lydia was waiting and our son handed over the original passports and Veterinary Health Certificates to her, which she had to take to the vet at the airport.

Only half an hour after we came home, our lovely cats already were delivered by Lydia and her colleague. That first night they were very stressed, but the next day they were a lot calmer and now they are already used to live in Dubai.

Thanks to Lydia of ABVC, the import over here of our Burmese cats Tira-misu and Roma was a piece of  cake!
