Package Inclusions

- Buster Collar (if required post-procedure)
- Blood sampling, PAP (pre-anaesthetic profile) & SDMA (Symmetric Dimethylarginine – early kidney marker) additional blood test strongly recommended for elderly cats to ensure symptomatic problems such as kidney failure, hepatic problems, cardiac failure , anemia or other are recognized where possible prior to continuation of the dental procedure in order to stabilize the patient and correct or put supportive measurements in place to ensure best possible outcome, your vet will advise on a case to case, individual basis.
Standard Workflow
Admission
- Complete admission form and dental consent form.
- Review and approve quote and agreed additional services/tests.
- Pre-Surgical Preparation
- Dog admitted and pre-anaesthetic physical exam performed by Veterinarian.
- Bloodwork carried out (PAP & SDMA) or additional as per advise vet and agreed by Pet owner
- Results interpreted by veterinarian. If within normal limits, proceed.
- Anaesthesia & Setup
- IV drip placement.
- Anaesthetic induction and continuous monitoring.
- Patient positioned and connected to monitoring machine.
- Dental instruments and supply kit prepared.
Dental Procedure
- Comprehensive oral exam, occlusion and mal-occlusion registration and charting.
- X-ray full oral cavity or individual elements (this is charged additional, pre-approved).
- Tartar removal.
- Ultrasonic scaling and polishing.
- Disinfection rinse.
- Extractions performed if indicated (this is charged additional, pre-approved).
- Oral surgical corrections if needed (charged additional, pre-approved if known, or approved during surgery if unexpected outcome).
Post Procedure
- Recovery phase with close monitoring.
- Client informed about dental procedure outcome and advised on collection time.
Discharge includes:
- Written dental report & Anaesthetic report
- X-rays oral cavity if performed; digital file and veterinary report shared.
- Updated dental chart (including extracted elements).
- Post-operative instructions.
- Home care guidance.
- Prescribed medication.
Follow-Up
- Appointment scheduled for recheck (if extractions performed).
- Next-day post-procedure call back to check on the patient’s recovery.
