Standard Workflow for your Dog Dental Package
Admission; Client completes admission form and surgical consent form, reviews and approve quote and agreed additional services/tests,
Pre-procedure Preparation; Dog admitted and pre-anaesthetic physical exam performed by Veterinarian, Bloodwork carried out (PAP & SDMA), Results interpreted by veterinarian. If within normal limits, proceed with surgical preparation, IV drip placement, anaesthesia induction, continuous monitoring, preparation for surgery (clipping, skin prep, sterile draping), Placement on surgical table and connection to monitoring machine.
Dental Procedure; Comprehensive oral exam, occlusion and mal-occlusion registration and charting. X-ray’s of the full oral cavity or individual elements can be made at this moment, these X-rays are not standard included. Tartar removal, ultrasonic scaling and polishing. Disinfection rinse. Extractions performed if indicated (this is charged additional if pre-approved by the client). Oral surgical corrections if needed will be charged additional if pre-approved by client.
Post-procedure; Recovery phase with close monitoring, Client informed about surgery outcome and advised on collection time.
Discharge includes: Written dental report & Anaesthetic report, Post-procedure instructions, Updated dental chart (including extracted elements), Home care guidance, Prescribed medication. Should dental X-rays oral cavity have been performed; digital file and veterinary report will be shared.
Follow-Up: Within 2 days post-surgical call-back to check on the patient’s recovery.

Dog Dental Package – Package Inclusions
- Pre-anaesthetic physical exam
- IV catheter placement, Infusion pump and administration set, Lactated Ringers 500ml (IV fluids)
- Anaesthetic induction and monitoring drugs (as required)
- Pain management (analgesics/NSAIDs)
- Intubation, Pulse oximetry & patient monitoring,
- Full dental supply kit (instruments, disposables)
- Dental charting and oral exam, Ultrasonic scaling and polishing
- Surgical extractions (if required)
- Hospitalization (day care)
- Blood sampling, PAP (pre-anaesthetic profile) & SDMA (Symmetric Dimethylarginine – early kidney marker) additional blood test strongly recommended for elderly cats to ensure symptomatic problems such as kidney failure, hepatic problems, cardiac failure , anemia or other are recognized where possible prior to continuation of the dental procedure in order to stabilize the patient and correct or put supportive measurements in place to ensure best possible outcome, your vet will advise on a case to case, individual basis.

Examples include severe periodontal disease, oral masses, tooth resorption, elevated blood parameters, allergic reactions, cardiac complications, or other intra-operative findings. Costs may change accordingly.
