Working in Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic – by Lydia Ulevsky
I still remember the day when I started working in Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic as a Veterinary Nurse. 3rd of November 2009. A dream came true! To be able to do what I love.
The team was amazing. Very supportive, friendly and diligent. It was obvious that every team member was there because they shared the love for animals. Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic was and still is a fast pace working environment. Pets don’t get hurt or sick by appointment. With such a team it was easy to provide the care to each animal that needed it.
Although I am a Veterinary Nurse graduate and had several years of experience in my home country, working in Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic gave me the opportunity to learn so much more and grow as a Veterinary Nurse.
Oh, and we were all offered courses in Veterinary Nursing to support the constant learning and innovation in Veterinary medicine.
I enjoyed the clinical nursing. Providing care to the ill or hurt animals, providing love and compassion when they needed it the most and informing the owners with their beloved pet’s progress was a big part of the workday. The biggest reward of it was to see that animal go home to his or her family healthy and happy.
Not only the pets, many times their owners need support and guidance in care after surgery or illness, nutrition, exercise, training or any other questions they might have regarding their pets. No matter what their concern was, we were there to help.
My journey with ABVC continued from Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic to ABVC Pet’s Necessities as a Shop Manager and to this day as a Pet Relocation Manager. With ABVC Pet Travel & Relocation we extended an outstanding service to our clients and their pets to cover every aspect of Pet Care.
Looking back at the time I worked in Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic, I always see it as an exciting, emotional and rewarding experience that will stay with me forever.
